Seeking "co-parents" to share our 2 adorable Cockapoo puppies
My wife and I have 2 wonderful, beautiful 9-month old Cockapoos (cocker spaniel-poodle mix). We are finding that with our traveling and other commitments, we need to find someone else (or another couple or family) who would enjoy sharing them with us; having them for periods of time, but not having to take on the responsibilities of full time care. They are fairly small, house-broken and have had a loving, trauma-free life--and this breed is particularly intelligent and affectionate. They play with each much of the day, which is why we have two of them--surprisingly, this actually makes it easier to care for both of them than it would be for just one. Ideally you would be in the north Bay, so we can exchange them easily with you. We will need to be sure that they would have a loving "second home" where they have space to play, go for walks, etc.
Re: Seeking a loving home for our 2 Cockapoo puppies
In my opinion it is advantageous to charge an adoption fee. This insures as much as possible, that the adopter can make a financial commitment as well as a heart connection.... which is a very important component of responsibility for an animal.
I would charge at least $250 for the duo, as most rescues charge at least $300 per puppy.
They are beautiful dogs and I wish I could take them, but I have 3 dogs and 2 cats already.

Oops.... Was the original post changed? When I originally read this, it stated that there would be no charge! Sorry!

I read this as wanting to share them, not giving them up for adoption. Someone sharing the responsibility shouldn't be required to pay.
