Needing a Dentist Low Cost
I would appreciate anyone who knows of a dentist Sebastopol, Santa Rosa area that is low cost and still provides good care. Is there a Dental College? If you are in Dental College or know someone that might be the best route. I have 2 amalgams I need to get taken out, they are cracking my teeth.
I have a few cavities and need a cleaning as well.
Thanks so much for any info.

There used to be a sliding scale dental clinic associated with the community health center in Guerneville, but I don't know if it's still there since the fire that destroyed the clinic a while back.
You could also check out the student clinics at UCSF and UOP in San Francisco. They are 1/2 to 2/3 the cost of regular dentists.

Lynette,
I am a dental hygienist. You can also go to Santa Rosa Junior College Dental Hygiene School there. You can have a cleaning, a full set of xrays, and an exam...Great quality care. Being students (just as if you went to San Francisco to UOP or UCSF), it takes a number of appointments. But, very affordable and you will get good service.
I see that you mentioned your "amalgams are cracking your teeth": amalgams, like any other filling, don't cause fractures(cracking). But, perhaps yours are old, and simply need replacing. Your hygienist will fill you in on that (pardon the pun). Let me know if you need any tips/local referrals. Amy
