Sonoma County ReStore seeks help sorting through donated tools, furniture, appliances

The ReStore of Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County is looking for volunteers to help maintain our 19,000 sq. ft. discount home improvement store.

All profits from ReStore go to Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County. At ReStore we receive donations of new and used furniture, appliances, sinks, toilets, doors, windows, hardware, tools, art and antiques on a daily basis and need help organizing, cleaning, and testing our inventory. We are interested in finding those willing to commit to four hour shifts filling the following roles. If interested please email [email protected] or call (707) 568-3228.

After a month of service volunteers who work at ReStore 16 hours or more a month receive a 20% discount throughout the store.

Cleaners-Dusting and cleaning items on floor-good chance to see what is for sale
Pricers/Stockers-We always have furniture and tools stacking up that someone with retail experience could help price and stock
Testers-We have three stations in our donation garage where volunteers test lights and appliances to ensure they're in working order
Stagers-can help us rearrange the floor as stock moves in and out. Needed about 2 times per month.
Truck Drivers- Help pick up and drop off donated material in our ReStore box truck
Craigslist Updater-We like to post our more expensive specialty items on Craigslist, and need someone to make sure there are always 7 listed and up to date.
