( Solved ) Wondering what to do with 16 year old survival food from Y2K
I feel like I'm tempting fate, I have 100 large cans of 5 lb coffee can size inert gas filled dried foods. Most of the cans shake like their still dry inside. Their on the dump truck going to the dump. Could they be good still and would anybody want them.
As things seem to be if I get rid of them then the world comes apart

Open a few up and see/smell if they are still good. What the world faces now seems far more dire than in 1999. I just watched the big short and the two smartest investors who foresaw 2008 are now survivalists, the smartest one who was the first to bet against mortgages invests a small part of his 2.5 billion gain in water. The rapidly increasing erratic weather as the earth warms supports predictions of global thermal equalization, 200' sea level rise and biotic collapse.

Open them up and compost them
recycle the cans
Yes we are DOOMED(but I could be wrong about that)
but we have at least 25 years to argue about it as the still floating burning building heads for the waterfall
by then you can get some fresh food, try the farmers market!

If I had them I would feed my chickens with that old food for several months.
