War is a theft from those who are hungary
Dear Paula & Varda,
Given that I was raised in a Republican military family, I remember Ike and this quote. He also introduced the term "military-industrial complex," which has gotten much worse. These old-fashioned Republicans, like Lincoln and Gen. Douglas MacArthur, who wrote that "war is obsolete," need to be remember and honored. Meanwhile, there is that rapid rush toward World War III by Donald Trump and other 21st century Republican candidates.

...“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense...it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron.”
Dwight Eisenhower said that!...
