I just found out about https://ifsn.org yesterday, and wanted to pass it on. It's hard to believe that I didn't know about it, since it's been around for many years. Maybe most people are referred through agencies. But as more and more people, even friends of ours, face homelessness, it may be a good reference for us to share with them.
If anyone has experience with this organization, please share it.
I worked briefly on a contract basis for this organization. It is a well run, wonderful organization. Many years ago it operated a homeless shelter at the armory, but it has changed its function now. It is no longer interfaith, and it no longer operates a homeless shelter. It operates a series of transitional housing locations for various needy populations - victims of domestic violence, parolees who are now homeless, and others.
