Seeking: Jewelry-making (metal) classes?
Hi there. I want to start making beautiful, ironic? jewelry out of bullet casings - but honestly, I'm more of an analytical person than a 'maker'.
Does anyone know of classes nearby where I might be able to learn how to work with the metal and make fairly basic jewelry?
I am creative - just not 'handy'. Yet! This will be a labor of 'concern', and most of anything I make will be donated to anti-violence organizations, so I can't afford much. Thanks for any suggestions! Hari

Hi Hari (and anyone else interested). You might want to check out Chimera Arts Maker Space, which is starting up here in Sebastopol. They are putting together a jewelry meetup on next Thursday, January 15th. It is open to all ages and skill levels. I'm sure you are more of a "maker" than you are letting on!

Hi,
Just has noticed that someone else also replied, mentioning Chimera...
Here are some additional links:
Their website: https://chimeraarts.org/
Their FB page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/chim...ace/?ref=br_tf
and...this link to a jewelry making event that they've posted, also on FaceBook:

Hope this helps !
