Hi Deborah,
I believe that a man named Jesus lived, and I believe in many of the teachings attributed to him. I also
believe that many other highly evolved beings have lived before, and live today. Some of these beings may even be members of our Wacco community. (I've seen some signs.)
The problem with calling oneself a Christian, may be that it means we can't also be Buddhist, or a follower of other enlightened beings/teachers. It also may mean that we aren't tolerant of those who believe differently or not at all.
There are many beliefs in Christian sects that are more like fairy tales, and disproven scientifically.
I think that many people in this community are spiritually oriented, even if they don't belong to a particular religion. They are independent thinkers, and feel no need to be told how they should live. They do gather together to share in joys and sorrows, they reach out to support each other, and they disagree, just like in families.
What can you share about your beliefs as a Christian? What does it mean to you? What does enlightenment mean to you? How are you different from others in the Wacco community?
