Costco Eyeglasses: Recommendations, complaints?
I need two pairs of eyeglasses, bifocals and computer (mid-range).
If you have filled an eyeglass prescription at Costco, I would be most grateful to know if it was a good experience or not.
Thanks in advance,
Treasure

Re: Costco Eyeglasses: Recommendations, complaints?
I just became a member recently, partly because I want to get glasses there; I know several people who have gotten them at Costco, including my doctor, Richard Powers, who were pleased with their glasses.

The optomitrist in RP did my prescription - and the optician staff in Rohnert Park did 2 pairs for me - very complex prescription - works great.
They have worked there for 15 or more years. I think they are very competent.
Re: Costco Eyeglasses: Recommendations, complaints?
I've been getting my glasses there since they opened, about 20 years. Always a great experience, very convenient, plenty of frame styles to choose from. The optometrist has changed just twice in all those years. Both were very professional. After you order your classes, Pat and her staff will fit them for you. She's the best, I love her! I go in once in a while for a free adjustment to my fit when it's needed. I will never go anywhere else!

Love Rohnert Park Costco for glasses!
Re: Costco Eyeglasses: Recommendations, complaints?
have been getting glasses at costco for years...prices great...staff friendly and helpful...pretty good selection...i definitely recommend
Re: Costco Eyeglasses: Recommendations, complaints?
I just buy mine at the Dollar Store now and wear two pairs when I need bifocals. :dunno: But I bought the last pair of prescription glasses I owned online for $39. You have to send them you prescription and I got one number wrong so it cost me an extra $25 to get them remade....still lots cheaper than some of the brick and mortars....and there was even one online site offering them for $19.

I've purchased prescription glasses from zennioptical.com. Inexpensive enough to order a pair to match every outfit!

Re: Costco Eyeglasses: Recommendations, complaints?
I found costco had the best price for ey exams until I called Sears. Walmart has the best price for glasses.

Try Zenni Optics online. They beat anyone although their glasses get dirty easily but for $16 who complains.

Protective prescription eyewear?
Hi, I'm wondering where I can get sturdy glasses that can survive a kid pulling them off and also can be used for outdoors work (larger lens?). I keep calling places (including Costco) and they only have the bendy frames.
Thanks!
Re: Protective prescription eyewear?
I've been very satisfied with my online buying experience at www.zenni.com and www.eyebuydirect.com
Zenni's safety glasses, at $29, may fit your needs. One caveat: For a perfect fit to your face, you'll need to do some adjusting after you receive the glasses.

Re: Protective prescription eyewear?
Check out the frame wizard/virtual optician at glassesusa.com
They may be a good resource. Quick and inexpensive, too.
