Extinction of life on earth happening now
Dear Human Beings,
I urge you to watch this short 10 minute video from Thom Hartmann. You can see it at https://lasthours.org/ The video makes absolutely clear that as we warm the planet and decrease the arctic ice sheet, we are causing methane trapped in solid form below the ice to be released. This will worsen global warming which in turn will cause the release of more methane. This has happened five times previously in our geological history, and each time as much as 95% of life on earth was extincted.
Big Energy and Big Finance to not want you to see this video. Big Energy and Big Finance make their living extracting energy and selling it and all these corporations care about is profit. They have not concern whatsoever for the effect on the environment, no matter how they greenwash themselves.

Climate change is an outcome of overpopulation and capitalism and imperialism and corporatism. Business Enterprise is the virus at the core of capitalism, corporatism, and imperialism, which demand unlimited growth and have resulted in overpopulation, species extinction, deforestation, depletion of the fisheries, pollution of air, water, land, space, and food, and machinification of the planet. These interconnected causes must be addressed. Climate change does not occur in a vacuum. The unregulated demand for growth that is integral to capitalism and corporatism absolutely produces climate change. Until and unless we humans come to a spiritual connection to Our Mother The Earth, until we reclaim control of our production and our land from the capitalists and corporatists who have stolen them from us, then we are doomed to fry along with every living thing on the Eden where we evolved.
My action is always (1) to expose the corporatist/capitalist/imperialist causes of pollution, global warming, overpopulation, overfishing, deforestation, and extractive activities and (2) promote the spiritual connection with Our Mother The Earth. In the interim, I will reduce my carbon footprint and try and eat healthfully.

Sasha, thank you very much for this link. And to the caring and compassionate Elders for telling us this. I too have been deeply moved by this statement. Reading the Elders' statement made me finally commit to what I hold as a subtle daily awareness of the catastrophe/opportunity of our species and planet. Reading this has made me decide. Commit. Be real. It is time for me to really see past my fearful drifty peaking-over-the-edge with denial and minimization of the immanence of extinction and that effect on the Universe. And on our collective level of helpless anxiety. It has made me decide that it serves Spirit to get completely in to acceptance that I know what I know. I am not alone in this process of driftines-into-clarity I am sure. Thank you.
