If you're a heartless bastard (like me :wink:) and you want to TURN OFF AMBER ALERTS to prevent further Amber Alerts for missing children that are issued either locally or statewide, such as this morning's alert, this is how you do it on an iPhone:

Look under your CMAS App, looks like an old police bubble. You can turn the alerts on/off there...

1.In the application tray tap the CMAS icon.
2.In the CMAS inbox, select the MENU key and tap SETTINGS
3.In the SETTINGS menu, tap on IMMINENT THREAT ALERTS
4.Choose one of the three options.
•All alerts on - Amber, Imminent threats to safety of life, and Presidential alerts.
•Extreme alerts only - Imminent threats to safety of life, and Presidential alerts.
•Alerts off - Presidential alerts only.
