For months, the Forestville Planning Association (FPA) worked openly to propose, secure funds and get community input/support for a new open space park. Supervisor Efren Carrillo recently put the approval of a matching funds grant for this park on hold; and he elevated a newly-formed Forestville Locals Alliance to be co-deciders, thereby jeopardizing the purchase of the land and effecting gridlock.
Who really represents Forestville? Supervisor Carrillo--wherever you are--please take note. We have just formed the Forestville Outliers Group (FOG) and assert that WE are the true representatives of Forestville. Our positions and members are even more unknown than those of the newly-formed Locals (only) Alliance. We therefore feel it is our destiny to control all the money raised by the FPA and administer it as our Group sees fit. Even if the many donors felt they were contributing to a Downtown Open Space Park and West County Bicycle/Hiking Trail extension, I am certain all Forestvillians will be delighted to have our even newer secret organization take the reins. We are FOG--trust us.
