Can anyone recommend a reputable mobile mechanic with knowledge of VW Bus/Camper engine installation?
Just got my old (1969) Westfalia out of storage and want to begin a moderate restoration. A friend thought he could rescue the old engine - only to find out it had a cracked block. Have been told that the old engine is virtually useless - however I wonder if any of the parts would be useful for the installation of a used engine. As an energetic female "senior citizen" I can do lots of the cosmetic work but not the mechanical. I would appreciate any suggestions or resources.:waccosun:
