American conspiracy theorist, Alex Jones, embarrasses himself in British media. I hope that most British don't think that most of us Americans are as idiotic as Alex Jones:
I thought the 1-1/2 min excerpt on the webpage was a bit truncated so I found the full version (I think): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=807r68cyKSs , about 5-1/2 min. He always seems to be about 3 cups of strong coffee ahead of polite conversation, but I often find him both refreshing and accurate. If you look at the website linked in the original post, you'll see that while many comments refer to him as a "loon" and worse, there are many that support him. One of my favorites:
I agree that Alex has his problems with presentation of the facts , especially when he is on the “mainstream” media, but again I think that some of this is on purpose (not necessary an act but rather desperate attempt to wake people up) and sometimes it’s working...sometime it does not. However if you listen to him on his radio show, he still is very emotional, but he provides excellent information and solid analysis. And there is no question in my mind that he is making an impact.
Side note. Here are today's featured stories from one of Jones' websites, prisonplanet.com :

Admittedly, largely balanced toward the libertarian side of politics. But he seems to be on the angels' side of these issues, in my humble opinion, and he says his sites reach 3 million people on a slow day. I don't listen to him as a regular thing, but when I do I am often edified and always entertained. About 30% of the time I disagree, but then I disagree with Amy Goodman and the KPFA news staff on several issues, including Libya, Syria, and 9/11.

Alex Jones is an internationally embarrassing crackpot. Jones is a demagogue that is not to be taken seriously and anyone who does is not much better than he is.
