From the 2011 Sonoma County crop report, PANNA and the CDPR website:

60,184 planted acres of grapes (green deserts), 678 acres of organic grapes
Over 370 wineries as of 2013, only 38 third party certified organic or biodynamic wineries
12,863 acres combined other food/forage crops of which 7,520 acres are organic
2.5 million pounds of chemicals used in vineyards alone in 2010
200 out of 80,000 chemicals have been tested under the Toxic Substances Control Act
2,322 acres of apples left, under 600 acres of Gravensteins left

This group needs everyone's support. Please go to their website, sign the petition, copy the wine list of good growers, come to events, anything you can do to move our community forward to a more healthy future for not only the children but everyone who lives here.
