April 21, 2013, Sunday
10:00-5:00 pm, Marin County
Our arms reach out for the sky as well as dig deep into the earth. It is how we touch each other or curl within ourselves.
This workshop will address how you use your arms, shoulders, spine and neck while working, playing and being in a relationship. We will address shoulder strain and stiffness as part of the workshop. We will have experiential movements to explore how you reach for self and others as well as how you say yes and no from a visceral perspective. Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI) and great for those who sit a lot in front of computers (who doesn't these days).
This workshop will apply Feldenkrais Awareness through Movement® work as well Anat Baniel Method (sm) Transfomative Movement Lessons combined with a psychospiritual paradigm.
Cost: $150. Please register by emailing [email protected]
Partial scholarships available for those in need. For more information, visit www.kathrinapeterson.com (https://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.kathrinapeterson.com&h=-AQGDygXo&s=1).
Teacher: Kathrina Peterson brings joy and curiousity with over 20 years of mindfulness training, psychology and movement work.
I particularly wanted help in finding an openness in my body that would allow me to find an openness in my heart...I begun to sense an aliveness in my heart center, a spark that has continued to grow and that has allowed me to face several difficult decisions and relationships with strength and an open heart. -N
Kathrina Peterson has what I call “The Golden Touch”. Her sensitivity and gentle approach go straight to the core of a problem. With a series of slow movements and intuitive “repatterning”, pain and old trauma can melt away. She has that rare ability to truly touch the soul and create healing from the inside out. Her work is fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone. -Vir
