Hi Josh,

I have some friends who moved up to Portland about a year ago. I am connected with them on tribe.net. They are two of my 'friends' there. There are a few tribes just for Portland. Check out www.tribe.net. Search for me...Deb Gorman and Portland. Eric and Kira are the friends who live there now.

Blessings,
Deb

I like Portland allot. I lived in Eugene for 20yrs. Portland is really a great large city. I really missed the rain when I left. I didn't think when I lived there I'd miss it. Some years it rains allot some not so much. You'll be so close to wonderful places to explore. The mountain, ocean, the city it's self. I would bet after you figure out how to get around you'll really like living there. I wish you happiness. Gail

I grew up in Beaverton, 9 miles west of Portland. What I miss most are the mountains. Mt.Hood is a huge spiritual prescence that radiates strength. The other mountains are beautiful and have their own qualities. I could sit in high school biology class and look out at the mountain, I skied on it, and tried to climb it once but a storm came up. The Portland Art Museum is a resource, they have fine arts classes for children and adults, as well as exhibits. The winter rain can be depressing, buy a rain suit and boots so that you can get out to move around even when it is raining. Barrie
