Hi everyone,
A while ago one of my cats brought home two ferals that needed food and care. They were being taken care of but the person moved without making sure they were taken care of. So since then I have been feeding them and they have had a bed on my porch. Even though they still won't let me get too close, they are part of our little family.
Last winter during the rain they found places to be so it wasn't too much of a concern. I don't have an overhang and the bed they have been using is an open plastic bin with bedding in it. So its not dry when it rains. In the last year they have felt much more safe and secure on my porch and its been hard this winter when they have had to find a place to be when its wet. So I need a dry shelter for them.
I don't have the funds for a shelter for them so I am looking for a free, gently used, dry shelter for them. It needs to be kind of low profile (my little porch is on the second story and not that big) and there are only two cats who usually keep each other warm, so it doesn't need to be too big. I am not sure an igloo would work because of the space but I am willing to look at options.
Please let me know if you have something that would work to keep them dry and safe.
