Buchanan: ‘White America’ Died Last Night

Conservative political pundit Pat Buchanan stoked controversy today by claiming that Barack Obama’s reelection has ‘killed White America’.
The paleoconservative nativist is no stranger to racial controversy, having previously been accused of writing books with racist and anti-semitic undertones.
But the former Nixon advisor was more explicit on the G. Gordon Liddy Show this morning. When asked for his reaction to Obama’s victory, Buchanan replied brazenly:
“White America died last night. Obama’s reelection killed it. Our 200 plus year history as a Western nation is over. We’re a Socialist Latin American country now. Venezuela without the oil.”
Stunned by his clear racisim, Liddy tried to walk his guest back from the ledge:
“With what you just said right there…You seem to imply that white people are better than other people. That’s not really what you’re saying is it?”
“Of course that’s what I’m saying,” Buchanan replied “Isn’t it obvious? Anything worth doing on this Earth was done first by white people.”
“Who landed on the moon? White people. Who climbed Mount Everest? White people. Who invented the transistor? White people. Who invented paper? White people. Who discovered algebra? White people.”
“And don’t give me all this nonsense about Martin Luther King and civil rights and all that. Who do you think freed the slaves? Abraham Lincoln. A white guy!”

“But we’re not led by Lincoln anymore, we’re led by an affirmative-action mulatto who can’t physically understand how great America once was.”
“I cried last night G. I cried for hours. It’s over for all of us. The great White nation will never survive another 4 years of Obama’s leadership”
Liddy tried to reason with Buchanan, reminding him that he shares similar positions with the President on Afghanistan, Iraq, and relations with Russia:
“Of course I agree with half of what he does,” Buchanan answered, “He’s half white! That’s not the half I’m worried about.”
Buchanan served as a speechwriter in the Nixon White House. He was fired as an MSNBC analyst this year following the publication of a book many considered to be racist.

I guess that's why I've been coughing and running a fever for the last couple of weeks. But I'm startled to hear I'm dead. I thought I actually felt a bit better after the election.
Pat Buchanan crying for hours? I guess I could imagine it, and take a small bit of satisfaction. At least, with his enumeration of achievements, he's included Semites as part of the White Race — that's progress. I guess that most Brits today would even dismiss the idea, guiding British policy for centuries, that Pat's Irish ancestors were worthy of nothing but extermination.
And interested to hear that my dad, a white male American who was vile to my mother, abandoned his family and drank himself to death, was part of that tradition that Buchanan sees as the only truly *human* race.
The achievements of the white races are extraordinary, arguably even equal to their atrocities. But the frantic efforts of Buchanan and others to hitch themselves onto that resume of achievement is a grotesque perversion. I'm under the impression that Buchanan is a dedicated Christian, and that a fundamental tenet is individual responsibility: when you stand before God it's entirely on your own merits — you don't get to call in Lincoln or Einstein for a color sample.

At a press conference in Washington, D.C. the recently reelected socialist declared that he had issued an executive order replacing the traditional stars-and-stripes with a new design intended to be more "progressive and diverse."

The brand new American flag features a green and red color scheme, meant to symbolize Islam and Socialism, respectively. The red portion sports a Soviet hammer and sickle and six French fleur-de-lys (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fleur-de-lis), representing the six "important states" of California, New York, Illinois, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Hawaii.

The green section features the phrase "People's Republic of America'" written in Arabic. Just above the script is a marijuana leaf celebrating America's drug culture.

So Gallantly Scheming...

The controversial content of the flag attracted intense criticism from the reporters attending the event, but Obama was undeterred:

"Look I earned political capital in this campaign and I intend to spend it. I'm not running for reelection again. So I can do what I want, when I want. America's an Islamic, Socialist, 420-friendly nation now. And it needs a flag to match."

Constitutional experts say Obama has the legal right to fly the flag over all government buildings. However, to make the flag the permanent official flag of the United States would take an act of Congress. Such a bill would likely sail through the Democratic Sentate, but face a stiffer challenge in the Republican controlled House.

For Shirley Shepard, a homemaker from Lubbock, Texas, Obama's new power grab underscores the importance of the conservative movement:

"This exactly why we need Republicans in Washington. If it weren't for conservatives like my congressman, we'd be like North Korea by now."
