I just finished watching the 3rd debate (supposedly, foreign affairs), and I thought Obama carried the day with very strong consistent clear answers and general fortitude, while Romney continued to say what he would like to see you but offering very little clarity about how he would get there. I wish Obama had called him on that. Romney said I will xxx , I will restore our leadership, I will prevent Iran from getting the bomb, just like he says I will balance the budget, I will work with congress, I know how to create jobs, etc. Obama really needed to show that the would-be emperor has no clothes.
Non the less, NPR reported that and ABC (?) poll had Obama winning 2 to 1! :waccosun:

I agree that Obama won the 3rd and final debate, although he did not strike a knockout blow.
I checked foreign newspapers online, El Pais of Spain, the Guardian of the UK, and Der Spiegel of Germany. All of them give Obama the victory in this debate. Le Monde of France appears to give both candidates an equal showing.
Now the only thing left is Election Day! Can't wait.

I remember Obama stating this. I liked it because it is accurate. The economic policy of the 1920s gave us the Great Depression (1929 to mid 1940s). Those were 3 Republican presidents in a row who gave us the domestic economic policy that would usher in the Great Depression: Harding (1921-1923), Coolidge (1923-1929), and Hoover (1929-1933).
The social policy of the 50s were under Republican Eisenhower and it was a very conservative time in US history. The Red Scare, McCarthyism (Eisenhower never said anything against McCarthy), public lynchings of African-Americans, Black Ops, medically diagnosed depression of thousands of Americans, etc, etc.
Public policy of the 80s: Reagan. Need I say more?
