Question 5. Are you in favor of a resolution calling for the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq and Afghanistan?

Life is always more complicated than it seems from the outside. I don’t believe it is legitimately the roll of local government to do so. That said, I certainly understand the sentiment.

The Iraq War was a stupid mistake by George Bush. I support the war in Afghanistan. It is time for our troops to stop dying. We now have the technical means to take care of business in that part of the world.

As per the US Constitution, only Congress can declare war; that has not happened since WW II. We are morally and financially bankrupting ourselves with these failed forgeing policies, and all communites are suffering from the unending debt of federal misappropriations to the Department of Defense.
We need due process of law to be reinstated, at home and abroad.
A declaration of a cease fire in the only safe way to bring our current troops home. We have missed the UN mandate to do that each September 21st, even though we signed the resolution for it on 9/7/01.
