Hello,
I'm cheeking to see if anyone is interested in forming our own working group based upon dealing with "toxic shame". I want to use a book, workbook and videos as our guide. I can help facilitate, and we can take turns facilitating, as well. I have some experience in facilitating.
This group is for people, like me, who want to do the work it takes to overcome toxic shame and help improve our lives by learning how to let go of toxic shame and make better decisions around how to cope utilizing a healthier set of skills in our lives.
I'm envisioning that we can divide each meeting up into segments where we use the workbook, process, and have a chance to share each of our stories in a seated group circle. Ideally, each person having five minutes to share a current problem, and going around the room doing this a couple of times. So in essence, each person has an chance to share between two and three times at five minutes maximum each time.
This is ALWAYS to be a no fee group. The only condition is that each person would have to pay for his/her own books and supplies purchased through his/her own means and not through the group. We would take turns hosting, or I may have free access to a clubhouse.
