How many of you would invest time and resources in a place to help the region's Small Business Owners?

This could be the Green Garage for great ideas to spring from.

This is sound economic development; which fits our scale; and enhances our extra special style.

What will it take?

How much time?
Which skills?
How much $?

can you/we contribute, or lend for such an endeavor?

Is it enough to make a counter-offer?

Let's build a home for creating successful business plans; which can help fill the un-leased, or for sale properties Sebastopol already has developed. Also to help the many home based businesses here fulfill their full potential.

Bringing the SBDC here, along with ready-made local businesses wanting to expand, such as the chocolate and organic produce businesses; may be the win-win-win which works for all: the Owners of land next to one of our busiest intersection, the Public, and the Business Community.

Especially if CVS & Chase see how much the full project process costs, and will continue to cost them; when it's clear it hurts their brand, resulting in decreasing profits from other regions.:hmmm:

Move your money is about all your choices, not just your bank. How many of you are wasting it on a rigged stock market, etc.?

Invest local.

Let's work together to support our best interest, using our brightest biz plans. This center could kick start local, and regional small businesses via micro-loans.

We can add another non-profit for assisting youth to assist with new SBDC businesses, as well as, create their own business; as they add to their science, math, and other important skills.

Would all the existing Sebastopol small business organizations here like to join up and take the lead on finding a home for the SBDC here?

Let's utilize the bridge building skills we operate more effectively with, for enhancing our optimal place to: call home; do our work; find education; and of course enjoy fantastic food & entertainment.

Let's Occupy all our actions, and investments of time and money; with more grace, diplomacy & well-being inventiveness. A Sustainable Sebastopol economy opportunity is at hand. If this idea is not able to fit that spot; we can find another. Let's go for it!

We West County folks, and our town, are a treasure. A Small Business Development Center works for us; as we improve our maps for mining Sebastopol's business resources, increasing our local wealth in many ways; improving our quality of life; while protecting our delightful natural world.

Much thanks for your consideration!

SRJC severs ties with Small Business Development Center By CATHY BUSSEWITZ (https://www.pressdemocrat.com/personalia/cbussewitz)

The Small Business Development Center at Santa Rosa Junior College, which has provided mentoring and training to thousands of businesses in Sonoma and Marin counties over the last two decades, is looking for a new home.

After several years of budget cuts, SRJC no longer has the funds to continue operating the center and will sever ties with the program on Aug. 1, said Lorraine DuVernay, director for the Santa Rosa SBDC. Humboldt State University, which serves as the lead agency for SBDC services in Northern California, will temporarily take over the Santa Rosa program while it looks for a new agency to provide the free consulting services to businesses in the North Bay.

Let's see... We have City Staff help, Sebastopol Area Chamber of Commerce, SCORE mentors, Sebastopol Entrupenures group, Sebastopol Business Group/Network, Citislow, GoLocal and a couple more I cannot recall at moment. How many more groups do we need? Personally, i would like to see these combined rather than fracturing what assets we have.
