If your dog inhales its food as though it hasn't eaten in a week, it's at risk for a
serious medical problem. It could choke, vomit, or develop other digestive problems.
The most serious is bloat - the second biggest medical killer of dogs after cancer.

To help your dog slow down when eating, the best method I've found is to stuff it's food
into a Kong. www.kongcompany.com (https://www.kongcompany.com) This is a hard rubber toy with a small opening on one
side. Dogs really enjoy working for their food and love chewing. It is also a great tool to help
reduce boredom and anxiety.
Kongs come in various sizes and all pet stores carry them. Get the size that is right for your
dog. The dog food shouldn't fall out of the opening too easily. You can even stuff it the night
before and freeze it. Kongs also work for separation anxiety, barking issues, crate training
and care rides.
