Need help with comcast remote for techno challenged

Hi,
I'm sitting a house and screwed up the TV. (I haven't had tv service for 30 years so am not up on the latest)
They have comcast, which has a special remote control.
I was told to point it at the cable box and hold down the "all one" button. OK. Fine.
The tv came on.
I watched it for a while.
Then I wanted to change the channel.
But there was the old tv remote right next to the comcast one, and I picked it up
and clicked the channel button, thinking it probably did the same thing. Big mistake.
Then the tv picture turned into snow and I can't get it back.
Pathetic-right?
Can anyone help?

Return the TV to the channel Comcast broadcasts on (usually 3 or 4) and use the Comcast remote to change the channels on the Comcast feed.

There is a way to create a "Favorites List" so you don't have to wade through all the junk channels, but given your Ludditism, I suspect that it's better to just stick to the basic of the basics.

Whoever lives there probably already has a favorites list. All of this stuff is available via "Help" instructions.
