Call For Poster Art For Sonoma County Pride 2012,
Deadline Extension!
A Celebration of Sonoma County’s LGBTQI Community, Friends & Family
Guerneville, CA. The Russian River Sisters’ Sonoma County Pride Planning Committee
has extended the deadline for poster art submissions to March 30, 2012. We are actively
seeking a poster design to be used in publicity for the upcoming Sonoma County Gay Pride
events of 2012. It is our intention to create a tradition similar to the New Orleans Jazz
Festival, which showcases posters as art. The successful poster must be in vertical format
and will be used in promotional efforts that include printed media, electronic and social
media, and merchandising.
Submission of design proposals is open to all Sonoma County artists regardless of their
experience or professional status. Sonoma County Pride 2012 is committed to keeping
Pride focused locally, on Sonoma County. The successful poster design will reflect the “Gay
By Nature” theme as it relates to the unique and vibrantly colorful exuberance and vitality
of life in Sonoma County. It will be inclusive of all members of the LGBTQI community,
rather than just appealing to one segment of our diversity. All two-dimensional media are
accepted. We look forward to seeing your creation!
All artists are asked to send us a fairly complete draft and illustration of their proposal
for the committee’s consideration. The selected winner will then finalize the artwork and
submit the completed image.
The theme “GAY BY NATURE” is a tongue-in-cheek nod to popular sentiment. The location
of the Pride event is the lush, grassy riverfront meadows of Guerneville Lodge. Organized
by the Russian River Sisters’ Sonoma County Pride Planning Committee, the 2012 events will
feature more GLITTER, more GLAM and more INDULGENCE! There will be a full line-up of great
entertainment, family-oriented games and activities. Pride 2012 will see the return of Lilith’s
Lounge, the Radical Faerie Freedom Village, and the Pride in Wine Country Terrace for more
mature revelers.

Images must be in .jpeg format.
You must be the creator and copyright owner of the image.
You must be able to provide model or property releases where appropriate.
Images must not be licensed to any other users or through any agency or distributor.
All submissions are to be provided free of charge and free of restrictions on usage.
Successful image might be cropped, and sponsor logos and verbiage will be added to the
final image.
Your age/race/creed/sexual orientation will not be considered in the selection process.
