A little bit about us:
We are a nature-based homeschooling family looking to start an educational cooperative with like-minded families.
We're dedicated to living simply, learning naturally, noticing the little things, and practicing peace in every step. We're in search of like-minded families to come together once per week for wild-crafting, water-coloring, beeswax modeling, knitting, garden-to-table cooking, sharing good literature, and creating a nurturing, commercial-free environment where children can discover their connection to the earth and truly blossom.
Our methods are greatly inspired by Rudolf Steiner (Waldorf education), John Holt (unschooling), and Shunryu Suzuki Roshi (Zen Master, founding teacher of the San Francisco Zen Center, and author of Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind). I am a Buddhist practitioner with a bachelor's degree in Comparative Religion and a passion for learning about early childhood education... *PLEASE TAKE NOTE; however, that our vision is to create a secular (NON-religious) homeschool co-op where mindfulness and the rhythm of the seasons is honored and celebrated.
