Dear Community,
I posted this once in "pets " but now think that was the wrong place as this is more "farm community." For 25 years I've been guardian for a small flock of Toulouse Geese, which are among the "threatened" farm animals in the US. This last year or two all the the goslings have grown up to be male, and one of the older females died, so the flock is seriously out of balance.
So I'm looking to make sure they all have a good Valentine's day or week or month or whenever depending on when I can bring in some additional females. Four would be amazingly good. I have put this also on Craig's list and contacted both Humane Societies (Sonoma and Marin) to no avail. So it comes down to community word of mouth. I'm not surprised this breed is scarce as there are now only two places to buy the geese in the US. It's one of the reasons I've chosen to raise them - to keep them going.
So let me know of any leads. Thanks, Bev Riverwood 707-823-0974
