Volunteer CAM (complementary and alternative medicine) providers needed for Sutter Integrative Health <o:p></o:p>
and Healing Services expansion<o:p></o:p>
Sutter Integrative Health and Healing Services have been supporting women with cancer by offering free or low-fee complementary therapies on Saturdays since 2003. We are excited to announce that we have found our own home on the 2nd floor of the Sutter Warrack campus in Santa Rosa, and are expanding our services to include both Fridays and men! To meet the needs of our expanded hours, we are looking for experienced CAM providers to volunteer one to two days per month (Fridays and/or Saturdays). Practitioners see 4 clients per shift. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
This is a great opportunity to serve those in our community who are challenged with cancer. These inspiring women (and soon to be men) who receive these services are open and grateful and those who currently volunteer report they get as much from providing services as they give.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
**New – volunteer providers will be invited to participate in our interdisciplinary care conference with Sutter’s new oncology and Cancer Support Services team – a great learning opportunity!<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Current modalities at IHHS:<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Acupuncture<o:p></o:p>
Naturopathy<o:p></o:p>
Massage<o:p></o:p>
Guided Imagery<o:p></o:p>
Sandtray (licensed therapist used for this modality)<o:p></o:p>
Jin Shin Jyutsu<o:p></o:p>
Feldenkrais<o:p></o:p>
Reiki<o:p></o:p>
Craniosacral therapy<o:p></o:p>
Nutrition Counseling (RD or Masters level training required)<o:p></o:p>
Organic Facials<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Other modalities can be considered. Practitioners are required to have at least three years of experience, hold a current license in their field (if applicable), maintain malpractice insurance and complete an application/orientation process to become approved by Sutter Medical Foundation North Bay. <o:p></o:p>
