Phil Donahue is a Hall-of-Fame broadcaster and winner of 20 daytime Emmy Awards who pioneered in bringing social issues -- consumer rights, feminism, civil rights, gay rights -- to a broad mainstream audience. I had the wonderful opportunity to see this film and meet Phil at the CA Democratic convention the year it came out.

This is one of the most important, and most overlooked films of our times.

I truly encourage everyone to see it.
