Hello!
We have a beautiful, gentle mannered sow.
She is a rare breed of Berkshire, Duroc, Cross Spot mix.
We have raised her from a gilt on pasture and organic feed.
She is of breeding age now and ready to be bred.
We are looking for a place to winter her and have a mutually beneficial idea.
We have invested $500 in her, which does not include time and energy in her care.
We would like to have someone take her now, breed her (be in artificial insemination or
direct breeding to a boar). We will then evenly split the litter between the two parties.
Once she is ready to breed again, you will breed her and we will take her back. We will
care for her through the next pregnancy and share give you half of the 2nd litter as well.
You will be responsible for her safe housing and feed while she is in your care. And we
will care and feed her for the 2nd litter.
We are in Cazadero and are willing to bring Zelda, the sow to her temporary home.
We are also open to selling the sow if that is the only option that works.
