What Sonoma County laws would we like changed? For example, zoning and land-use laws and building codes that would allow us to be sustainable and flourish on our land.

This is the year we can change laws to benefit the people. We can pack Sonoma County Board of Supervisors meetings as well as committee meetings, elect different supervisors if necessary, put and pass county laws on the ballot, what else???? Please share your thoughts.

:hmmm: The one saying no adequate mass transportation, all those who do not own or drive a vehicle are not welcome?

I'm not sure what the current law is, but apparently there needs to be stronger controls for conversion of land that is currently in its natural state to any use, especially agriculture.

Any other ideas/needs out there?

Make this a county of refuge for immigrants. Instruct all police officers and sheriff's deputies
to refrain from reporting undocumented immigrants, who have committed no crime, to ICE.
After the US agriculture industry has intentionally wrecked Mexican agriculture as a means
of earning a living, it's brutal to send back those beyond the small number allowed from that country.
