I bought two pygmy goat wether kids on 9/17. The woman who has the herd hadn't spent time with her goats, so these boys are not tame. They will eat out of my hands, but haven't taken further steps towards tameness. I want to be able to put harnesses on them and tether them here and there on my property to eat the weeds. They are very cute & playful. I could use some help knowing how to tame them further, what kind of harnesses to get for them, etc. Barrie

i tether my goats often. they have loose dog collars and i don't leave them for more than an hour or two without checking to see if they have gotten tangled or knocked over the water. more often i put them in a moveable corral made from three stock panels. this works all day, and they could spend the night in there too if no rain or didn't need milking. blackberrys, poisen oak, ect. beware you will be nibbled to death! can you imagine a world without mowers or wackers where weeds are forage for our animal friends?
