OCCUPY Your City

Fight Back and Make History

Dear Friend,

People young and old are taking the streets to let our government and corporations know that we are a democracy that’s not for sale.

The Occupy Wall Street protest is a full bore international indictment against corporate greed and dysfunctional government.

Will you use our inspiring video and images to activate and motivate a friend? We want everyone to know about the Occupy movement. Already, there are thousands of protesters in New York City and hundreds more in Los Angeles, Boston, Washington DC, Seattle, Miami and elsewhere.

The time is now. Protests are growing more each day, with some observers estimating the Occupy movement could swell to 250,000 online activists in the coming days.

Watch our video, then add your voice to the protest near you.

Democracy requires the wisdom of crowds.

Yours,
Robert Greenwald
and the Brave New Foundation team

P.S. I invite you to join me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter.

What can we do as a community? Would the picnic be a place to start? It would be great to get people
on video, speaking up, then send to YouTube to join the "collective consciousness" that's creating the
beginning waves of revolution in our country.

Today I was sitting in my car outside Oliver's ready to leave, but I hesitated long enough to see an older man
in his 60's pulling out a large white piece of chalk. What he wrote on his back window was
REVOLT NOW!

I was glad to see this. I want to do the same thing. We don't need small bumper stickers; we need
BIG LETTERS that others can see.

I wonder what we can really do, or I should say what we're willing to do. What I think of first is to curtail any
unnecessary spending, even with the holidays approaching. Let children know what's happening, and allow them to do their part in reducing consumption.

Stop being manipulated by marketing, and stop supporting big business/corporate America unless they can
show how they are supporting you!

Car pool whenever you can, and reduce any unnecessary driving. Think first "Do I need to do this?"
"Do I need to buy this?" "Do I need to go there?" Consider the motivations of our actions. Let's all
get more conscious together, and help each other do it.

Ask your neighbor if they need something when you go out. Try teamwork for a change!

In Hawaii they say "Many hands make work light". It's time for "barn-raising", but it' looks a whole
lot more like "hell-raising", but how long are we going to sit back believing we are helpless?

Are we? Can we really make a difference? Can we really make a commitment?

What are we willing to take a stand for? What will that look like?
