So I sat there in court for about 4 hours; getting sick to my stomach as I listened to this deplorable man admit SOME of his crimes.

How many other victims are out there not getting help? We may never know.

What is even more sick, is the lack of investigation regarding Zara's sometimes unsupervised contact with kids, at the after school daycare for several years at Sun Ridge Charter School. The Press Democrat, and Sonoma West Times will not even investigate this, nor disclose that he worked there. Why?

The head of this investigation, Sgt. Snetzinger - head of the Santa Rosa Police Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence unit; has a history of this. He's the same guy who REFUSED to properly investigate the man who raped me, then also got away with assaulting me and making threats, 2 more times.

When I filed a restraining order about all this, Judge Schaffer took away my custody and reduced my visitation to almost nothing. Now, because he got away with another assault, and I was denied my right to defend myself, I have zero contact with her; while the offender gets full custody!

Someone else who could not get a rape trial with the DA, because of the lack of investigation also in 2009 by SRPD; went to the Grand Jury about it. Because the Grand Jury is controlled by Judge Nadler, who is part of the cover up, and the DA's office, who has a lot to hide, there is little chance of daylighting the truth of the misconduct in the SRPD.

The only reason Zara was caught, was because he broadcast his molestation on the internet and the FBI discovered it. I spoke with the housemates of the 5 year old victim; neither they, nor the victim's mother knew anything was going on. And yet Snetzinger; and I have this on tape, says the other victims will come forward, whether they are 5, or a consenting teen. Yeah right, and how much with they suffer until then, IF then.

The FBI refused to even meet with me to look at the facts about the Santa Rosa PD's misconduct. The criminal in my case was enabled by the SRPD to destroy his evidence more than once; I have this on tape too.

Until I can look my child in the eye, I will not know if she's a victim of Zara's molestation as well. I can't do that for 2 reasons. Because she did not the get counseling she needed being in the middle of all this; she did not tell the truth at the time, about being witness to 3 of the crimes committed by the man who raped me. Also because the SRPD refused to properly investigate these crimes, and the other ones regarding of his use of teen prostitution, and teen pornography possession, and probably production of, nor the facts about his use of illegal drugs, even in front of witnesses who gave them a signed declaration; this psychopath is free to continue harm of others.

When I tried to tell the DA's office about the other potential victims of Dylan Zara, and the holes in the investigation; they treated me as if I was the one committing the crime!

I can't even begin to challenge this until I get $3000. Until then, how many more victims of sexual assault by these 2 sick individuals, will not get help because of a failed law enforcement system? How many new victims will there be, because there is at least one sexual offender walking free, enabled by the Santa Rosa Police Department?

Will you please help?!

My child has the right to contact me, or anyone else to tell the truth about everything; she did disclose the truth to her brother, but he is unwilling to do anything about it.

If you would like to be part of the solution, so we can all feel safer in this community, please contact me.

If you have been a victim of misconduct by any law enforcement agency, or the courts on matters like this, please let me know. Perhaps if we can demonstrate the pattern of failures or corruption by them, we can fixed what is broken.

Being a victim of sexual assault is horrendous enough. Knowing we can't trust those making a very good wage with great benefits to do their job effectively, is an additional assault to our well being every day it continues.

Much thanks!,

A 28-year-old Santa Rosa man will be sentenced to 16 years in state prison after pleading no contest Friday to sex crimes against a 5-year-old girl over a period of more than two years.

Dylan Josh Zara, a former assistant director of a Sebastopol youth summer camp, entered the plea bargain with prosecutors rather than going to trial, where he faced a possible life sentence if convicted.
Zara's mother, Leslie Benjamin, clasped a Bible as her son agreed to the settlement.
