Burners Without Borders, a 501(c)3 American non-profit, and Trisha Springstead, RN / leading Gulf Coast activist, are collecting USED NEBULIZERS for medical patients a...ffected by the Deepwater Horizon aftermath. The patients are having trouble breathing, among other things.
It is estimated that over 100,000 people in the Gulf Coast remain seriously ill due to Corexit-crude poisoning. Any sort of compensation for treatment on behalf of the offending corporate parties would implicate guilt, and the Spillionaires are notoriously ... murder-y when they don’t get their way.
So, the bad news is, doctors are turning a blind eye to even the most severe chemical poisoning cases. The good news is that other, good-hearted “Do-It-Yourself” doctors and nurses are responding pro bono, as best they can, and they need equipment from us!
One used nebulizer can help 10 people. Springstead already obtained the medicine to put in them (Silver hydrosol, works great) but needs to collect the hardware.

One way that Burners Without Borders and Trisha Springstead suggest, in order to help in this campaign, is to collect nebulizers locally and then ship them in a big box, for a smaller carbon footprint and all that. I have taken it upon myself to be the point person for this area. Please contact me at the anonymized address provided.
The oil is still here, and so are they. The people of the Gulf Coast can’t breathe, and doctors are too scared to diagnose them with chemical poisoning. Not only do they remain untreated, their insurance doesn’t cover it and, if they’re fishermen/fisherma’am families, they’re likely starving on top of it all.
This really simple step would help a lot of people, so if you choose to participate, thanks and karmic points will befall you in abundance! If your donators still have the tubing and mask that goes with the nebulizer, then even better!
