For those who have decided that the whole exercise was a fiasco, where the two sides are best characterized as bad and worse, this won't hold much interest.
For those who placed some faith in Obama and feel let down, this may give a fresh perspective.
For the rest of us, it's a well-thought-out take on the game as it was played. The LA Times ran an article saying the GOP "lost" on the deal. (https://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-markovits-demswon-20110803,0,2334100.story)It's another chunk of grist for the mill.... until a big chunk of time goes by I don't think we can tell what the hell just happened, but just fer grins, armchair analysis may as well proceed.
