Posting a Non-Commercial Event

I recently tried to post a non-commercial event in the Events category. No matter what I did, I was directed to a page regarding posting commercial events and how to become a commercial subscriber. Am I just not holding my tongue right?

Also, the Event category link under the General Community heading is 404'd.

When posting a non-commercial event be sure to click "No" and include a comment about why it's non-commercial:
