When I see all these catagories - for Sonoma only - I fear that we in Marin get lost in the crowd. Barry, please clarify (again) for us - if we post something in Marin say for DOG CARE or MASSAGE or FURNITURE FOR SALE - do these posts also go under those specific categories in the Sonoma section? Or do people have to take that extra step to seek out MARIN. Why is Marin separated out, anyway? Designer G / silkworm.

Marin posts are separated so the members from Marin can find them easily and the members in Sonoma are not subjected to posts that are for the most part irrelevant. I try to keep the relevance high for members so that they will read more of the posts. If too many post are irrelevant for one reason or another (such as distance) then they will stop reading.
When a new member signs up from Sonoma they are not subscribed tot he Marin category to be included in their digest. Likewise a new Marin member is not subscribed to the Sonoma categories. These default subscriptions can be adjusted (https://www.waccobb.net/forums/showthread.php?394-How-to-select-Categories-for-Emails-Daily-Digest&p=750#post750).
At the moment commercial posts (https://www.waccobb.net/forums/showthread.php?19899-What-is-a-Commercial-Posting) are free in Marin but require a commercial supporting membership to post to Sonoma County. If you think it is worth it, you are welcome to become a commercial supporting member and post it in Sonoma as well.
For Sale posts are not allowed to be posted in both counties because of the relevancy issue mentioned above.
