Recently, hotmail seems to have eliminated the option of holding the user name/email address in the sign-in field; you have to type it in every time you sign in! The 'Remember me' checkbox is also gone from under the sign-in area. I did some searches, but couldn't find any solutions. Any ideas?

For Windows users, Arsclip. Keeps the last 10 items you copied to the clipboard, and you can make some, such as userid, permanent, with shortcut keys. Freeware, very useful

check out LastPass, too. It's a password-remembering system primarily, but it also remembers all kinds of other things - as much as you'll let it. It's easy to use for basic things, and has the capability of doing all sorts of other stuff, like generating near-unbreakable passwords for you when you need one; since it'll remember them for you, they can be complex.
I'm rather paranoid about the state of internet security, and these people seem to have a lot to offer. It's tough to keep things secure and still usable for actual human users.
