Don't let the mediocre reviews stop you, go see the Da Vinci Code! My daughter (appropriately enough) insisted that we see it and it was great!

I imagine it it will appeal more to those of you who read the book.

What did you think?

Looking forward to seeing it. Read Holy Blood, Holy Grail years ago and the Da Vinci Code when it first came out. Have done other Grail studies which Brown's book is based on. Grail mythology surfaces when times get nasty. The bloodline story perpetuates the belief in divine right of kings which is timely for our present pretender, King George. As Olson's editorial in today's PD makes clear, if there is a contiuous bloodline of Christ, most of us by this time would be his decendants (as well as Atilla the Hun's). (find the Christ within you) The subtext is of the Gnostic church for which the bloodline may have been more of a metaphore. Equality for women, priesthood of the believers, direct communication with God, (enlightenment)

Saw it on Friday with a friend. I thought it was pretty unevenly put together and I didn't really find myself buying any of the acting either. Nothing worth writing home about.

Christ and Magdalene didn't procreate little brats; that much was clear
in his teachings. C & M proto-created human the human potencial.
That was central in the teachings to help your human neighbor
find their divine potencial within and whereby your own gets enhanced by
hepling others. Bubbas & Buddas! It's called spreaden da Love!
If C & M had their own blood line then it woild be an elitist inner group again.
that's not for everybody, but the Christ and Magdalene dance is for every and any who want to particispate in being altruistically humane folks!
