Is ignorance bliss or is it just ignorance?
If we ignore the reality of the aggression,
invasions and the occupations by the US (us),
does it mean that we are not responsible
for the countless murders of innocent
mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers,
committed in our name?
What is to be remembered on Memorial Day?
It's not about feeling guilt - rather to be mindful
of our role in perpetuating wars of aggression.
If we are not part of the solution
we are part of the problem.
