I am intrigued by the political content of the original story. It was becoming widely recognized that to allow an outside party to control, print and charge interest on printed dollars was, in the long run, the destruction of our nation's economy. In the past couple of years, paper dollars have been printed at a frantic pace to create fake money that must be repaid by real labor and goods by hard-working Americans. This is enslavement of the American People and the folks doing it apparently feel no accountability to us.

Abraham Lincoln restored Constitutionally lawful, legitimate currency to the United States with his Greenback Dollars. I believe that is a key reason he was assassinated. Certainly, his actions were not well liked by our nation's enemies.

"If that mischievous financial policy, which had its origin in the North American Republic, should become indurated down to a fixture, then that Government will furnish its own money without cost. It will pay off debts and be without a debt. It will have all the money necessary to carry on its commerce. It will become prosperous beyond precedent in the history of the civilized governments of the world. The brains and the wealth of all countries will go to North America. Now, we see that willful destruction of our nation's economy is easy once those who are ideologically opposed to free prosperity gain control of our nation. They reverse our prosperity by burying us under unrecoverable debt, disguised by nice-sounding programs. It may be too late to save our nation by restoring Constitutionally legal production and expenditure of currency.
