This article (https://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/05/22/the-flight-of-curiosity/?partner=rss&emc=rss) is particularly relevant to some of Dixon's threads... I forget the exact comment, or who made it, but the point was made that philosophy deals with different parts of reality or knowledge than those relevant to science. The author of this article goes to the same place from a different direction.
