Can't really say. But BBQ Smokehouse & Catering (https://www.bbqsmokehousecatering.com/) has the best slow smoked animal protein in Northern California. And it's in "town".

the best I've ever had were at Ravenous, in Healdsburg across from the Raven theater. That was years ago, so I don't know if they're still there.

Yep I recommend the Smokehouse in Seb. next to the Theatre.
Pricey... wish they would "get it" and make food for us little people.
But a truly yummy treat!

The Bistro Des Copains (https://www.bistrodescopains.com/site/home) in Occidental is the best place to go for braised short ribs by far! It's my favorite restaurant in Sonoma County, and it's a little pricey but well worth it - good for a special occasion. Everything we ordered was very high quality and cooked to perfection. The service is good and the atmosphere is unpretentious.

Here's another vote for Ravenous. We've been enjoying their fine meals occasionally for 18 years now. The menu changes a lot so call ahead if there's something specific you want. Fresh, local food. Yum!
