Well what I'd say is that Ron Paul doesn't want to be a dictator... In other words, he doesn't want to enforce his viewpoints on others, and he wants the people at a local level to decide what is right for their community and themselves.
He is pro gay marriage
pro legalization of all drugs
pro legalization of prostitution
pro abortion (Well technically his moral philosophy is that abortion is wrong, but would allow it to continue if that is the will of the people)
anti military expansion and occupation
and the list goes on...

No sunelectric, Ron runs as a Republican because we are currently stuck in a two party system. Ron Paul represents the people, not his political party. The people, not corporate interests. That's you and me.
