Since 1500 bc the Ohlone Tribe has been using the site at Glen Cove in Vallejo to bury
their dead. Vallejo Parks is trying to bulldoze the shell mound and install
public bathrooms and additional parking.

A prayerful, dedicated group of Native Americans have camped out on the site, and are
being subjected to new legal hassles every day from the city and the parks
department.

They lit a ceremonial fire on Apr 14 and it has burned continuously since while
the prayer ceremony continues non-stop. The group is having a hard time getting
supplies and would love visits of support, invite supporters to come camp out
or bring food, water (in large containers), tents, sleeping bags, legal aid, prayers
and, especially firewood to keep the fire burning.

I have an offer from a woman in San Rafael to give a cord of wood and am
looking for a volunteer to take it from San Rafael to the burial ground.

If you can help or give anything, just go there.... it's on the map at
protectglencove.org (https://protectgelncove.org/). If you can take that cord, please email me or call
