I went to Frizelle Enos to find a possible product to use for my 11 year old cat who has been limping. I had taken her to the vet and they said that they thought it was arthritis and that I ought to get her on this product in pill form that was a tuna flavored Glucosamine/Chondriton. I tried it and my cat was OK with it but started to want to avoid food with it mixed in. There was a product at Frizelles and its main ingredient was corn syrup! I consider corn syrup to be avoided but the woman I talked to there said that it was to make it palatable. I understand but I wondered what new problems my cat might develop. She then showed me another product, locally made in Occidental (I am reading now on the label) called Pet Kelp. I was so happy to find this powder, no capsules and loaded with healthy minerals and kelp! So I have been feeding the recommended dose to my cat for 3 days now and she loves it! And although the price was $8.99 for 1/2 pound, I figure this will last a couple months. The other corn syrup product was $11.99. I thought this would be of interest to waccobb folks who have older animals suffering with arthritis.
