Hello Everyone,
I am reaching out to you all to let you know that I am putting together a shipment of donations (money and goods) to send to Nigeria. Many families in Yorubaland (southwest Nigeria) are unable to get access to any assistance or aid because they are not willing to convert to Islam or Christianity. Sadly, most organizations require families to abandon their traditional religious practices in order to reap benefits of foreign aid.
I was in Nigeria a few months ago and made some very close ties to a community of traditional Yoruba families in a small town outside of Ibadan, Oyo State. My wife and I have sent money back to the community since I have returned to the states.
I am now in the process of getting together some shoes, clothes, toys, etc. to send a package. I thought it would be a great idea to reach out to the community here and see if anyone out there has anything they would like to donate to be shipped to the community there. The perfect things to donate are clothing, toys, shoes, etc. for kids as well as adults. Also we will be sending money again soon and would be more than happy to send funds if anybody is kind enough to donate.
