Do you want to help the hardworking home care workers right here in Sonoma County? Let's use this bulletin board to really help the community!
The SEIU-UHW United Health-Care Workers West wages are under threat and our local Board of Supervisors will be holding a hearing on April 5th, Tuesday, at 8am attend the meeting and speak out and/or
You can help by
1) Writing a letter and sending to Meredith Drennan, [email protected], a local home care woman working on defending her wages and rights.( The sample letter is below)
Dear Sonoma County Board of Supervisors:
I am concerned about the well-being of our seniors and people with disabilities that depend on home care. The only way to ensure that
there is a stable, well-skilled workforce is by providing decent wages and benefits to home care providers. They only make $11.50
an hour--there is no room to cut. I urge you to please not only protect, but improve home care worker's wages and benefits.
Sincerely,
